Susan K. Hopkins Sue Hopkins has more than seventeen years of Air Traffic Control EnRoute (NAS) software and Aviation Security systems experience, including strategic planning, information systems security, systems requirements, integration, design, development, test, support, and maintenance. Additionally, Sue has over fifteen years of management expertise, including extensive customer interface, computerized user training, planning, and organizing projects for maximum efficiency. Sue received her Master of Science degree in Systems Engineering from Monmouth University and her Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland. She attributes DSCI’s success to the ability to apply her educational foundation to emerging technology solutions for real-time navigational systems world-wide. |
Lori A. Barnard Lori Barnard’s background includes various administrative operations positions at Johns Hopkins University's Applied Physics Laboratory (APL). Her expertise in contracts management, cost estimating, capital and overhead planning and administration; facility, security and network operations; and acquisition, property and subcontract management brings industry best practices to the DSCI management team. Lori joined the DSCI team in January 2001. She has a degree in Information Systems and a broad background in Administrative and Technical Operations in the DoD environment. Lori is responsible for the operations and management of the DSCI Washington Operations Office in Arlington, VA. |

Walter F. Wall, Jr. Walter Wall has more than twenty-seven years of experience in areas of engineering, information technology and management supporting various federal transportation agencies and commercial companies. He has considerable experience in strategic business and mission planning activities, including budgetary planning, forecasting and adherence management, and Program analysis and review (oversight of up to $130M annually). Walter joined DSCI in May 2007. He earned his Master of Science degree from Auburn University at Montgomery in Public Administration and a Bachelor of Science degree from the Christopher Newport College of the College of William and Mary in Information Science. Walter's executive-level education includes the Federal Executive Institute, and the U.S. Air Force, Air University, Air War College residence program. He also has had numerous technical and managerial training courses throughout his career. |
Howard Huettl
Howard Huettl has twenty-five years of experience in both the engineering and management of technical programs. He is a graduate of DeVry Technical Institute (now DeVry University). His management expertise includes planning, implementing, tracking and reporting of government projects for the DoD/Army, DOT/FAA, CIA and DHS/TSA. Howard has comprehensive experience in defining, implementing and managing engineering processes and procedures of complex integrated systems. He has gained his experience working for industry leaders in systems engineering, including Martin Marietta, Hughes Aircraft, Northrop Grumman and AT&T
Howard joined DSCI in April 2002. At DSCI he leads the Systems Engineering Team and provides oversight for all technical projects. He is the Program Manager of DSCI’s Systems Engineering Contract with TSA. In this role he manages the DSCI Engineering Team and works closely with TSA to define the engineering processes and products utilized by the DSCI team.
